Touchscreen technology has changed the way that a lot of people access popular devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and even laptops. Children that grow up in the modern world are so accustomed to using touchscreen technology that any monitor or screen that doesn’t have touchscreen features is seen as strange. Is the world moving in a direction where ordinary screens are antiquated? Perhaps--but perhaps not.

As a fresh faced teenager (well actually a bit spotty), I walked into Dell as a trainee direct from leaving school and I was faced with this amazing piece of technology sitting on my desk, a shiny new Dell 486P desktop computer.
Now back in the day I had a Commodore 64, and a Spectrum that my brother and I used to play games on, I especially remember waiting for the tape games to load, listening to all the funny noises it used to make during the process.
